This square temple lies on rising ground near Sandwich. The portico measured 52 ft. 8 in. by 51 ft. 5 in. with walls varying between 3¼-4 feet thick, the cella was about 26 feet square with walls varying in thickness between 4 feet to 4 ft. 7 in. The temple probably faced south-east. The first building of the early-4th century met with a violent end and was rebuilt only to be abandoned in the late-4th century. (Type I)
