An octagonal temple lies in a temenos on a gentle hill 5 miles SW of Maidenhead. The portico was 63 ft. 7 in. in diameter, the cella 35 ft. 11 in., the walls were a uniform 3½ feet thick. Built during the early-4th century and abandoned during the 5th, the temple probably faced east.
