Marked on the Ordnance Survey Landranger map (#149) as a ROMAN FORTLET, this small earthwork lies just to the east of the B4203 minor road about ½-mile north of Tedstone Wafer and 3½ miles north of Bromyard in Hereford and Worcester. All but the northern defences of the enclosure have been recorded, this side being hidden beneath farm buildings. The defences consisted of a rampart and double-ditch system - which is still discernable - measuring about 260 feet from east to west by at least 220 feet north-south, and enclosing an area in excess of 1¼ acres (0.5+ ha). Trial trenching by Webster confirmed the date of the site by uncovering Roman pottery, its situation is unclear, however, as there are no known Roman roads nearby.
