| NO299304 | (622 x c.442 m) | (c.25.9 ha) | Discovered from the air as crop-marks in fields in the late-1960's by Prof. St. Joseph, much of the perimeter of this large, trapezoidal camp had been plotted on aerial photographs by the late 70's. The overall dimensions and configuration of its gateways place the camp in the so-called "63-acre" series. The ditch is V-shaped, 10 ft. wide and 4 ft. deep (3 x 1.2 m). The west corner-angle was located on A.P.'s in 1992 and an annexe was discovered in 1994 attached to the south-west side, close to the south corner-angle. The annexe ditch is about 3½ ft. wide by 2 ft. deep (1 x 0.6 m). |
