"(3) Islafoot (NX 859 991): the rounded NW and NE corner-angles together with parts of the W, N, and E sides of a marching-camp have been located on the E side of the River Nith opposite Drumlanrig. The dimensions of the camp are c. 240 by 260 m, giving an area of 6.24 ha (15.4 acres)." (Britannia, 1998)
