There are no known Roman roads in the immediate area, at least, there are none depicted on the last three editions of the O.S. Map of Roman Britain, and none recorded by Margary.

Excavations at Wellingborough in 1969

"... six potters' kilns were excavated and others located on the site of a new housing estate at Hardwick Road on the western outskirts of the town. Storage jars, mortaria, roof- and floor-tiles were made from the mid-2nd century for over 100 years." (Britannia, 1970)
