This camp lies about ½-mile south of the line of Hadrian's Wall. There are other camps 0.3 miles (0.5km) to the north-east at Coesike and another solitary camp about 1½ miles (2.3km) further south at Grindon Hill near the Stanegate.

This small camp is almost square and has gateways placed centrally in each of its sides, all protected by external tituli apart from that on the south. Like the nearby camp at Grindon Hill, the defences of this smaller camp have been much eroded by medieval and modern farming.
