This camp lies just south of the line of Hadrian's Wall. There are other camps to the east close by at Coesike and another near the Stanegate to the south at Grindon Hill.

This small camp is almost square and has gateways placed centrally in each of its sides, all protected by external tituli apart from that on the south. Like the nearby camp at Grindon Hill, the defences of this smaller camp have been much eroded by medieval and modern farming.
