This sub-rectangular camp lies about a mile (1.5 km) NW of the fort at Housesteads on the summit of an escarpment on the S shores of Greenlee Lough, and protected on the W and S by the Jenkins Burn. 2 gateways are apparent, set centrally in the N & S defences and protected by internal claviculae, possible gateways in the centre of the E & W sides have been obscured by a modern trackway which bisects the camp. The camp was built over an existing prehistoric field-system, and further evidences of pre-Roman habitation may be seen in the fields to the NE.
