This small, square fortlet measures just 95 x 95 feet (c.29 x 29m) and covers an area of just over 1,000 square yards or 33¼ roods (c.840m²); this is almost exactly the same size as the fortlet at Barburgh Mill. There is a Roman fort located a little to the north-west? at Ladyward (NY1182)
