The only gap in the south-east rampart occurs at a point where the underlying geology is suspect, so this cannot be positively identified as a gateway. Topography suggests that the north-west side would not have been much over 180m distant from the south-eastern defences, but there are no certain delimiters for the missing south-west side. |
