This small rectangular camp lies just north of mile-castle 42 on Hadrian's Wall. It has four gates positioned centrally in each side, those to north and east being protected by external tituli while the west side is protected by the scarp of the Caw Burn which runs north-south approximately 110 yards (100m) outside the western defences.
