First reported by J.K. St. Joseph in 1973, almost the entire perimeter of this large, roughly rhomboidal camp has been established, and the rest may be closely conjectured. There are two gateways with titulum outworks visible in the southern defences, but no other gateways are viible; the position of the central east gate may be accurately placed beneath the railway embankment which cuts across the north-east part of the camp, as can the westernmost gateway in the north side. The disposition and size of this large camp closely resembles that at Dunning, which lies some 10 miles to the west.
