| NJ540476 | (360+ x 270+ m) | (c.16 ha?) | First noticed as crop-marks visible from the air by Dr. I.B.M. Ralston & Mr. A.G. Shepard in 1982 and investigated on the ground by Dr. Ralston and Prof. St. Joseph later that same year, this camp lies on the south bank of the River Deveron near Rothiemay. The defences have been only partially traced but the camp is unlikely to have exceeded 40 acres in size due to topgraphical constraints. The ditch, where known, does not exceed 4¾ ft. wide by about 1¾ ft. deep (1.44 x 0.5 m). |
